Praise Jesus for Hardware Stores!
FINALLY! After 100+ days of Quarantine, our hardware stores here opened up last week! What a blessing! I waited until this week, after the rush of the first week, to venture to one of the stores. It was glorious! I was able to get soo many things I wished I had had during the quarantine to get some projects done!
I was able to get a new kitchen faucet because mine stopped working and I’ve been borrowing one from the SAM base for most of the quarantine! I was able to finally get tubes of sealant so I can reseal my doors and windows! I was able to get the shelves I’ve been wanting to put up on the wall in the kitchen! I was able to get new pillows!!! Yes, the hardware stores sell pillows…and good ones! And my most exciting purchase was PVC tubing to finally make a decent vent for my dryer! (as pictured above)
To say, “it’s the little things in life” sometimes is quite accurate. I felt like a kid in a candy store in the hardware store. We have all been waiting for those stores to open for more than 3 months! And they were well stocked with supplies! It is such a joy to be able to enjoy the privilege of actually having nice, first-world-comparable, hardware stores to go to.
